April 1st marks the beginning of the 2024/2025 Sea

April 1st marks the beginning of the 2024/2025 Season on our coast with Rockfish and Lingcod opening in OUTSIDE waters. April 1 is also the date to make sure you've registered for this year's Tidal Water Fishing Licence! It's easy to forget to renew your Annual Licence with the annual dates being from April 1 - March 31st. This is just your friendly annual reminder to re-up those licences and that inside waters are still closed until May 1st.⁠

Good luck out there! Have fun, dive safe and make responsible choices as we see more and more divers getting in the water and hitting those easy to access spots. Go a little further and don't stop searching for those new honey holes. Rotating the dive sites you're harvesting from is one of your most important decisions in your dive planning to promote more sustainable and ethical hunting practices.⁠
